Re-imagining futures in Science Technology Engineering Mathematics and Environmental Education

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Environmental (STEME) education research group operates within a strong and vibrant educational research culture at Deakin and is aligned with the Centre for Research for Educational Impact (REDI). Education at Deakin is ranked 4th in Australia and 38th in the world (QS Index). Our research is intensely practice-focused. We engage with with teachers, schools and education systems to improve teacher learning and practice and student engagement and capability, and find solutions for system enhancement. STEME researchers have been productive in recieving government and industry funding and with Australian Research Council (ARC) grants. We have a history of influence on STEM curriculum and policy at state, national and international levels. Our research group members are currently working on a range of funded research programs and projects. We have a range of innovative professional learning programs for teachers, and an active program at doctorate and masters levels.
