STEME

The Deakin STEME research group aims to support teachers to improve students’ learning in STEM, and their wellbeing through an intensely practical research focus. We continue to work closely with schools and teachers, and have been involved in major professional learning initiatives of the Victorian Department of Education and Training. This includes the Primary Mathematics and Science Specialists initiative and a number of secondary STEM initiatives. We are increasingly exploring interdisciplinary approaches to STEM.

We offer a range of professional learning opportunities for teachers and schools through the School of Education Professional Learning Hub based on our research and the resources we have developed. There are opportunities for working within and across schools, and the possibility of credit into our higher degree courses.
