Sustainable Schools – Impact in Schools Communities
The research program explored sustainability education practices in Australian schools with a focus on the state-based Sustainable Schools programs and, in particular, the Resource Smart program of Victoria. The impact of these programs were investigated through a narrative methodology where several short video interviews that illustrate the practices and findings shared by administrators, teachers, students, parents, and the broader community as well as the Sustainable School program and some of the managers and officers employed in this program.
The co-researcher (Fernanda Rezende) is undertaking a phd in Brazil and has been awarded a prestigious scholarship to participate in this research for 12 months in Victoria, Australia. She will be collecting and analysing the data and generating the school videos during her scholarship visit as an integral component of her research.
