Partnerships
Research usually requires partnerships with other organisations such as schools, professional associations and government departments. The STEME Research Group has a number of partnerships through which our research grows.
- Deakin University runs School-based teaching program maths, science technology, whereby Deakin students work with small groups of children. The Deakin students are able to develop their teaching techniques and focusing on the learning of individual children.
- Partnership with Regional Centre for Education in Science and Mathematics Education (RECSAM) in Malaysia – regional hub for professional development activities for at least eleven South East Asian countries. Collaboration with RECSAM has involved in a number of different activities including teaching in their science and maths program, judging in their regional Searching for Seameo Young Scientist convention, presentations at conferences, and course consultation.
- Deakin University is the Victorian hub for Science, ICT and Mathematics Education for Rural and Regional Australia(SiMERR)
